  1. I liked the fisher price brand. It is crystal clear, so you can hear him breathing and it has a light sensor if doesn’t happen to hear him right away.

The video one sounds cool, but I would imagine I would have ended up running into the nursery to see how its doing all the time for the first few weeks/months anyway! lol

  2. We bought the cheapest one out there. Even Flo whisper connect, 900Mhz. It’s lasted us two and a half years and we’ll use it for our next baby. I think it went for 19 bucks or so.

    Never needed anything fancier.

  3. i have the Angelcare Deluxe Movement Monitor and it is the most amazing thing ever it tells you the temp in babys room has a night light and monitors babys breathing and if there is none for 15sec a warning beep goes off and after 20 the thing goes crazy. I love it. I dont worry about sids and have been able to sleep much more then with my 1st.

    look at this http://www. angelcare-monitor. com/english/hispeed/intro. html
it lets you kind of demo it online.

  4. I have a safety first video monitor asnd I love it. my son is almost 2 and I still use it. now I just use it to watch him play in his room while I am doing house work. the picture is in black and white but it comes in clear and the cool thing is I can turn the monitor off and just use the speakers. . check ebay first and see what consumer reports has to say because my monitor is almost 2 years old and they come up with new things every day.

I agree with Rhonda Rae, I also have an Angelcare moniter that senses movement and I could not sleep without it.

  6. Personally, if I had the video monitor I would not be able to sleep because I would constantly be looking at it. I have the old fashioned one-I used it on my 1st and am currently using it on my 2nd. Honestly, since having my kids I wake up to every noise they both make and probably don’t really need one at all.

  7. I have the summer baby monitor. . . and I love it! you put it in the crib this little camera and then you get a portable thingie that has camara (you can turn it on or off), you can hear your baby and if it’s very noise it lights up when the baby cries. . . . . .
